Back in August and September...

We were busy getting ready for Owen's arrival in Aug and Sept.  I have included details of a few highlights.

My brother and his family came back for an extended visit in the middle of August and we had a birthday party for my niece who turned 8!  I took a picture of all my nieces and nephews (who hadn't been together in a couple of years) and to have to show Owen once he was born.  His cousins are all getting so big!!

On my side of the family, birthday season begins in July with Timothy's birthday.  At that point, we have at least one birthday each month, and more often two.  Because my brother and his family were back in the states, we were able to all get together for all these celebrations!  Bill and I took advantage of this before Owen was born, knowing our time would be spent a little differently at that point.  Here is a picture from Elizabeth's birthday, where Micaiah got to feel her baby cousin kick for the first time!

This was a special birthday for her because she was able to get her ears pierced!!  This was very special for me because I knew how much she wanted them done and could totally relate - I didn't actually get mine pierced until I was 25!  But I have loved getting to wear earrings ever since.  And now Elizabeth gets to experience this fun accessory!

At the first of September, my family went to the beach for Labor Day and I was extremely disappointed to not be able to go.  So, to make up for it, I decided that it would be fun for all of my nieces and nephews to spend the night at Uncle Bill and Aunt Susan's house for one last time - before their cousin was born and things would be different!

We had a lot of fun - including a scavenger hunt, ghost in the graveyard (with glow in the dark sticks), a movie, and playing in the park.  I do think that part of the highlight was sliding down our stairs in the sleeping bags.  Always a good time at Uncle Bill and Aunt Susans :)  Here are a few pictures.

It was a busy time before Owen's arrival, but all fun!
