"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" Deuteronomy 6:5

We were quite busy in July, going back and forth to the beach! I cannot complain, since we were going with family and Sunset Beach is about my favorite place on earth! It is so peaceful and beautiful. Over July 4th we went to the beach with my family and then a couple of weeks later met Bill's family there. Here are a few highlighted pictures. The first one is a traditionally gorgeous sunset from the back deck.

For the 4th this year, the town of Calabash had there own little festival and fireworks show. It was on the 3rd, and much easier to handle than the Southport show. The rescue squad had their firetruck and ambulances out for kids to see. Here is a picture of most of the kids in from of one. Notice that you can read what is on the front, so that when you are driving down the road and you look in your rearview window, you can read it. (On a side note, lets hope that if you are in fact driving down the road, you would be able to either a)hear the siren b)recognize what it was the big read vehicle was behind you or c)be able to scramble the backwards letters from 'tped erif' to make out 'fire dept.) Needless to say, it is nice that they make it easy. :)

And here is a very nice shot of all of my (Susan) neices and nephews. Probably the best picture of all of them together!

Bill's family also came up to Sunset Beach for a long weekend. It was nice this year because it coincided with Bill's mom's birthday, so we were able to hang out at the beach and also celebrate her birthday all together! Bill's 3 nephews had a great time, playing on the beach, in the sand, boogie boarding in the water, and exploring the sound at the back of the house. Here is a great photo of them on the beach.
And one of the 3 boys with their grandma on her birthday. This was right after the dance party Joshua started from grandma's birthday card. :) I will try to upload the video later.

While the boys were resting one afternoon, I filled up a bunch of water balloons and put them in the freezer. After they were nice and cold. I had them on the back deck and I had them break water balloons over their heads. I had put dimes and pennies in them, so that they would be looking for something. This is a before picture. :) It was nice and hot, and I know the cold water felt pretty good!
August has been a little less busy for us, as far as traveling. We went to the lake one weekend with some friends, but that has been the extent of going away so far. Next weekend we are off to the beach again with some friends for a nice relaxing weekend!
