"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" Deuteronomy 6:5

1.12.2009

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. Bill and I woke up Christmas morning around 7:30 and had stockings :) We fixed breakfast consisting of Apple Sauce muffins and coffee and then opened our presents after we were done eating. Christmas eve was had opened one gift each, he the Charlie Brown series and me a Nintendo Wii game, Pro Tennis. We also had a gift for Cedar, which he wasn't that interested in. Bill completely surprised me with an iPod touch (a very cool play toy!) and I somewhat surprised him with a charcoal grill and tool chest. We had a good time Christmas morning and were able to relax a little before the day continued...That afternoon we went to see a good friend of mine and then over to my dad's for the traditional Christmas dinner and gathering. Here are a few pictures...

The day after Christmas we headed to Atlanta to spend the evening and night with Bill's Aunt and Uncle. We had a great time visiting with them and his first cousins. The next morning, we got up early and headed to Crossville, TN to spend the afternoon at another Aunt and Uncle's house and spend time with more cousins and framily. It was so great to see everyone, since some of them we hadn't seen since the wedding! We spent the night in Knoxville and headed back to NC that next day. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but well worth the drive! Plus we got to see some countryside that neither of us had seen (which for Bill, is a rare thing!). Here are a few pictures from TN...

Picture from 2006, don't the kids grow up too fast? But 2 additions since then...

Well, another 340 something days until next Christmas! Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? :-) Just kidding...actually it will be here before we know it, so enjoy 2009 while it lasts!! Hope you had a great Holiday season like we did!
