Trip to California!

We had such a great time on our vacation to California! We were there for about a week and flew into San Francisco. We stayed a night there and had dinner with Josh and Lauren (and they just got engaged!), which was a great time! We drove to Lake Tahoe the next day and spent 2 nights there. We went skiing one day - which was an interesting experience for me. The powder snow was very different than the snow in the NC mountains, but there were still quite a few icy spots. And I seemed to find those more often than not and was able to see how it felt to slide down the mountain, rather than ski (like everyone else). Here is a pictures of us on the Heavenly mountain.

After leaving South Lake Tahoe, we drove up the Lake shore and stopped several times to take pictures. Here are some of the best ones.

We spent our last 2 nights in the Napa area and visited a few wineries. That was also a new experience for me and it was really interesting to taste different types of wines against each other (something we don't normally do).

Our last day we spent driving down the coast into San Francisco and took several pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. We took the red-eye flight home and went into work the next day sluggishly.

The past fews weeks has been filled with house chores and trying to get the outside looking good. Maybe I will be able to take a picture soon of all of Bill's hard work! He has been mulching, staining the deck, mowing the grass...all kinds of things to make our house look even more inviting than it already is! :)

Bill's parents are coming in to visit us this weekend, which we are excited about. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can enjoy spring outside on our newly stained deck! Who knows what we might get into this weekend with them around, maybe Duke Gardens or something else exciting outside? Also, this Thursday night Elizabeth, my oldest neice, is in her school's musical, 'Annie', and we are going to a dinner theater to watch it! I am sure she will be the cutest one in the show! I will post more pictures soon!
