Busy Month!

I was just checking my blog to see when I updated it last...it has been too long! A lot has been going on this month, so let me start from the beginning. First, in my 'spare' time, I have been studying for the P.E. exam. It's at the end of October, which is way too soon for me to even think about.

Since our trip to Chicago, Bill and I have been hanging around Durham a lot of weekends. Labor day weekend we went to the Duke football game with my brother and his family. It rained and was an hour and a half delayed, but it was a good memory! The kids had a good time, and we had a good Bojangles tailgate before the game. I think there were more people in Wallace Wade Stadium than I have ever seen before! And a lot of students were there too.

Joan's birthday was the second weekend of September, which was full of excitement. We had a cookout at our house for her - and Bill fixed his yummy ribs! It was a huge success. The adults were intrigued by the Wii and were really enjoying themselves. I didn't get any pictures, but I did get a pictures of Taylor helping her Grandma Joan blow out the candles. The most eventful and memorable thing that occured on Joan's birthday was post cookout.

At about 10:15 we got a phone call on my cell phone and when I looked at my phone it said, "Joan calling..." I was a little worried because Joan normally goes to bed before 10... When I picked up she proceeded to tell me that Steve had been bitten by a snake. And I said, "What??? Are you kidding me?!?" (This is not something you hear everyday, or even ever...) She said that Donna had taken him to the emergency room where they were going to monitor him overnight...OH MY!! is what I am thinking. It was a copperhead and Steve is still alive and kicking, but I think he lived through one of MY worst nightmares!

I just have to post a pictures....be aware.... (its not of the snake....Steve has a trap out to catch it, hopefully before it 'catches' him again)
